Rabbi Neil Schuman

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Manetto Hill Jewish Center continues to be your personal synagogue, where you can safely and spiritually experience Judaism.

We’re living in unprecedented times. With social distancing continuing for the
foreseeable future, now more than ever is the time to reap the benefits of
being a part of a progressive intimate, caring community.
Our physical synagogue is currently open only on Shabbat, but our virtual
synagogue provides numerous Zoom services, classes and programs all week
long.

Manetto Hill Jewish Center is your personal synagogue, where you can
experience Judaism in a way that’s spiritual and relevant to you.
Do you want to explore and learn more about Jewish traditions and your
roots? Are you looking for friendship and Jewish community? Are you seeking
a great Hebrew school for your children, with warm and caring teachers and
small classroom sizes that will be open in the fall? Do you want a Bar or Bat
Mitzvah for your child, where he or she will receive private lessons (through
social distancing and/or Zoom) and develop a meaningful relationship with
the rabbi? If these are your wishes, then Manetto Hill Jewish Center is the
right place for you.

We are a Conservative synagogue preserving the best of our beautiful and rich
heritage while being openminded to progressive and engaging forms of Jewish
expression. We were the first Conservative egalitarian synagogue on Long
Island, and we continue to move forward with Zoom daily and weekly
services, joyous musical Shabbat evening services (now parking lot tailgate
style), classes and fun events. Manetto Hill Jewish Center believes Judaism
needs to engage our mind, body and spirit. We welcome you to becoming part
of our family and enriching your Jewish life with us.
